A truly urban shopping center, bringing together a department store and specialist stores across four appealing buildings.
Nihombashi in Tokyo once served as the starting point for the old Tokaido Road, and has a history of more than 400 years, reaching back to the beginnings of Edo—old Tokyo—itself. 85 years after Takashimaya first established themselves in the area, in 1933, Nihombashi Takashimaya SC appeared in 2018 to breathe new life into the region. The facilities are comprised of four buildings; the main building housing Takashimaya, the new building with specialty stores, the east building (with the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX and Pokémon Cafe), and the Takashimaya Watch Maison. Together they feature a lineup of store that meet all the needs of the Nihombashi consumers who make the region their home.

A walkway featuring a glass roof, called the Nihombashi Galleria, between the main building and new building, allows visitors to feel the wind while enjoying a moment in an environment evocative of a European city.
Furthermore, in December 2021, we broke ground in an adjoining plot on the development for the first office building for Toshin Development, the Nihombashi Sanchome Square. In addition to the superlative convenience of having the Nihombashi Takashimaya SC commercial and dining zones so close by, it also features a facility design that places an emphasis on a low burden on the environment and consideration of BCP, providing an environment in which office workers can continue to work in comfort and security.
