Aiming to become a regional community center

Wakaba Keyaki Mall opened in 2006 in order to make use of the remains of the former Takashimaya distribution center. We aim to provide a regional community center; a place for local residents to express themselves and exchange information. We have attracted a food supermarket as a core tenant, and with a balanced mix of other tenants handling everyday and specialist goods, we have created a community-based open mall in a small commercial area.

The keyaki (Japanese zelkova) tree that is the symbol of the facility has been planted liberally across the grounds. This allows visitors to enjoy shopping while moving through an outdoor space overflowing with greenery, realizing a commercial environment beloved by the local community.
